Iain Espey

Programmes Assistant

Iain was born in Nevada and grew up in South Carolina before leaving home at sixteen to study creative writing at a boarding school for the arts. He majored in philosophy at Stanford University and spent two terms abroad at Oxford, where he spent all his money at one specific kebab truck.

After graduating, Iain came to London on a teaching fellowship at St Paul’s School and stayed on an Irish passport and the dream of a brooding and glamorous life in his adopted city. Still, the Clemson Tigers will always be his team. He eats two bananas a day and goes to the cinema almost every week. In the future he hopes to teach.
