The Local Area

The GEO in London Centre is located in Bloomsbury, the literary and historic heart of London, so it is perfectly placed for our programmes.

Transport
We’re 5 minutes from 3 tube stations, and 15 minutes from St Pancras International (should you fancy a weekend in Paris!) Four different buses pass the end of our road.

A London Bus (apparently heading to the future!)

History and Culture
We are a 5 minute walk from the British Museum, 15 minutes from the British Library, and Charles Dickens’ Houses is just round the corner. London is quite a bit smaller than you might imagine, so you can walk to the West End to see a show in less than 20 minutes. And right around the corner is Holborn Library.

Cheap Eats
Bloomsbury is still relatively un-gentrified so you can find some excellent cheap places to eat. There is an family-run café round the corner that sells hot meals for £3.00; the Fryer’s Delight serves the best fish and chips; and the Rugby Tavern is just at the end of our road. About 10 minutes away you’ll find Leather Lane Market, which sells an astounding array of street food from all over the world. And just opposite the GEO Centre is a lovely walled garden, so you can bring your own sandwiches and go and sit on the grass among the daffodils with a good book (weather permitting!)
